WFCA Annual Business Market Summit – Thursday, September 22, 2022

Western Forestry Contractors’ Association
In-Person and Virtual Annual Business and Market Summit
Thompson Rivers University Student Centre, Kamloops, BC
Thursday, September 22, 2022
9:00 am to 3:00 pm PST

Over the last three years our reforestation sector has successfully prescribed, planned, produced, and planted over a billion seedlings in British Columbia and Alberta for government and licensee clients. During that time forestry work has continued alongside a pandemic, a tightening labour market and, lately, unprecedented inflation. Yet, with these successes, there is little chance operators can let up in investing in their workforce, dealing with rising costs, and managing whatever else it will take to complete the work and stay in the black.

One of the purposes of the Western Forestry Contractors’ Association is to provide value to its members and the forestry sector as a whole. Next week we will hold our Annual WFCA Business and Market Summit on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C. We are into our second decade of holding these day-long informal sessions that review the current year’s work to date and look at the trends and forecasts shaping demand and business prospects for next year and beyond.

This year’s combined in-person and virtual event will be held in the TRU Student Union Building in a large, well-ventilated meeting room to allow for social distancing. Lunch will be catered, with socializing afterwards at a campus pub and restaurant following the afternoon’s program.

Please see below the agenda for the day, as well as the registration form. Please register by Friday, September 16th to ensure we have adequate space for all that wish to attend.

If you have any questions, please contact the office at admin@wfca.ca or via phone at 604-736-8660.
