  •

  • BC Premier John Horgan gave a deserved shout-out to tree planters in a COVID-19 update yesterday for their work delivering this year’s tree planting season with, so far, no virus infecting workers or communities. Watch the full clip HERE.
  •

  • Our BC Forestry Safety Advocate has posted a bulletin interpreting our Provincial Health Officer’s recent order relating to industrial camps, including remote silviculture operations in both motels and bush camps. Read the full document HERE.
  •

  • The BC Wildfire Service Contract Advisory Committee continues its important work with the BC Wildfire Service to ensure contract fire suppression crews are compensated for incremental COVID-19 safety costs to ensure their crews can work safely during this year’s fire season.
