The WSCA will present the 2013 Western Wildfire Conference—Firestorm 2003 Ten Years After in Kelowna, B.C. April 10-13, 2013. This will be the second major wildfire conference the WSCA has presented dealing with the science, politics and operations of the increasingly critical interface between wild land fire and communities in the West. The conference program includes two days of presentations and panels from fire and risk experts from around the world as well as a day-long field tour reviewing the Okanagan Mountain wildfire and the efforts the city has undertaken to mitigate the fire threat in its wildfire urban interface over the last ten years.
