ATV training recognized by BC Forest Safety Council: WorkSafeBC to follow soon

At its last board meeting in April the BC Forest Safety Council Board of Directors approved recognizing the WSCA ATV operation training standard and course for a probationary one-year period.

Reaching this milestone took over two years and is a critical step in certifying that the training, when properly delivered, meets the test of due diligence. WorkSafeBC is on a similar track reviewing the ATV training and we expect to have their recognition by summer at the latest.

It is the intent of the BC SAFE Silviculture Project to seek both BC Forest Safety Council and WorkSafeBC recognition for all the training it develops.
