Time to Reprise Treeplanter’s Funnies?

Skreefer Madness - Front CoverThe economic gloom around silviculture these days may be making us a bit dull, if not just too darn serious.

It’s been more than 30 years since Skreefer Madness brought much needed comic relief to running a grubhoe for a living back in the ’70s. Maybe it’s time to brighten our prospects and encourage our redux with a reprise of the humour originally trail-blazed by the the tree planter artists: Weiller, Roman, Grant, Von Dibbel et al. Send your comic suggestions to the WSCA care of this site.

Many thanks to Kurt Hawkenson of Folklore for providing his treasured 1977 copy of the precocious ‘Skreefer Madness’ comic book!
