The College of the Rockies, in partnership with the Creston Valley Forest Corporation Present Urban Wildfire Interface Program (PRESCRIBED FIRE MANAGEMENT TRAINING) designed for operational forest workers, forest contractors, municipal and regional district personnel, and ministry personnel – with Fire Ecologist Robert (Bob) Gray.
This five-day course (classroom and field) will give successful participants the confidence to recognize opportunities for using prescribed fire in natural resource management and provide them with the knowledge to assist in the planning and operational use of fire as a member of a prescribed burn team.
It is recognized by all participants of the training that all government regulations pertaining to the use of prescribed fire be followed before embarking on a prescribed fire project.
